Just demand Napoleon — or Hitler. Hey, but demand both!

Inna Bukatina, head of external licensing and acquirement at Russian publishing company GFI, considers that Nintendo will not take over Russia such as the rest of the Earth.

The causes? The Wii is just a game automobile, and Russian buyers prefer appliences that have multiple applies such as the PS3 and PS3 states Bukatina. The Wii, Bukatina points out, is just for Wii games. That's true. It's.

Bury the older demographic also. "The backing community in Russia is jolly young, and I recall when Nintendo assayed to appeal more humans from aged demographics — they put on their last slide a babushka, an old lady, in a headscarf sitting in the countryside and acting on a DS... but really it's really hard to assure that really occurring in Russia.

I recognize that in additional parts of European Community, older age drifts are playing such games, but in Russian Federation they do not know what to do with it — they never had a computer, and believably never acted with an appliance that's more technical than a phone, for instance."

"But the Wii is only for games, and for really particular forms of games. The gaming community in Russia is jolly young, and I commend when Nintendo essayed to appeal more humans from older demographics.

Let's not forget that older Russians, unlike a lot of their same-age opposite numbers in western EU, "have… never owned up a computer, and believably never acted with a device that's more technical than a phone."

Piracy is as well still an endemic issue for Nintendo in theRussian Federation."The DS has an accompanying, but there's a lot of piracy there too, and it's naturally much more expensive than the GameBoy," marks the Russian games publishing company.

Nintendo has dominated the sales of video games of the decade

Nintendo had the first eight of the ten best video game sales recorded during the past decade, says the site Mcvuk.com according to figures from Vgchartz.com. The basic features of the Nintendo DSi include two LCD screens, bottom one being a touchscreen, built-in microphone and wireless IEEE 802.11 (Wi-Fi) standards support which allows the gamers to interact with each other within a short range (10-30 m depending on conditions) and also online with the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service. It is a free online game service managed by Nintendo and players with a compatible Nintendo DS game can connect to the service via a Wi-Fi network using either a Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector or a wireless router. After the original model, Nintendo came out with two more models, namely the Nintendo DS Lite and the Nintendo DSi which were equally successful in the market of handheld game console.
Welcoming the larger, bigger screen Nintendo DSi XL

The latest member of the family is the Nintendo DSi XL, which was already released in Japan in November as the DSi LL. It features larger screens and a greater overall size as well, compared to the original DSi. The crystal clarity and vivid colours delivered by the gaming console are particularly stunning. Games that involve avoiding incoming obstacles like the New Super Mario Bros looks fabulous on the big screen of the Nintendo DSi XL. Due to the increased size of enemies on the screen it becomes quite easier to judge precise jumps and have that accuracy while avoiding the obstacles. No doubt the faster-paced DS games will be easier to play with the new Nintendo DSi XL. The extra size of the handheld game console both adds to the experience and also creates an entirely new experience of gaming. Classic games like Brain Age also feel surprisingly fresh on the screens of the Nintendo DSi XL. With the larger touch screen you are provided a larger space to write and thus, more enjoyment of the game.
Wide angle viewing lets people crowd around and watch

While the original DSi was made for individual use only, the brand new Nintendo DSi XL can be shared by multiple members of a household. You just have to place the handheld on steady place in your living room and due to the wider viewing angle of the handheld console even your friends and family will have a great time watching you play with the Nintendo DSi XL. It is therefore, best for younger players who often stare over each other’s shoulders when watching their friend play. The Nintendo DSi XL is the broadest, tallest and heaviest model of DS with a weight of about 314 g and dimensions of 91.4 mm tall × 161 mm broad × 21.2 mm wide. It also has a much improved battery life over the other DS models on all brightness settings. On the lowest level of brightness, the batteries of the new Nintendo DSi can last for as long as 13-17 hours.
Bigger stylus to complement the bigger screen size

The Nintendo DSi XL is provided with a bigger stylus that feels like using a pen when using it. All the DS styli have traditionally been small in size and therefore, not so great for games that require you to write on the screen. This time, Nintendo has tried to overcome this issue by providing a larger pen that is easier to grip. In addition, there is also a smaller stylus provided with the Nintendo DSi XL that slides into the body of the handheld game console. One of the major attractions of the Nintendo DS family has been their clamshell design which looks great. The new Nintendo DSi XL also comes with the same design and also includes a smart glossy finish on the top which makes its styling even more impressive and attractive. The remaining part of the handheld game console has a matte finish that makes it more practical to use and easy to hold. Like the regular DSi models, the buttons of the Nintendo DSi XL are also quite clicky and responsive and provide you optimum comfort while playing. The new Nintendo console also comes preloaded with the two Nintendo DSiWare software: Dr Kawashima’s: Little Bit of Brain Training: Arts Edition and Dictionary 6 in 1 with Camera Function, as well as the Nintendo DSi Browser, which allows you to easily access the internet via a Wi-Fi connection. Just like the original Nintendo DSi, the new DSi XL will enable you to download games through the Nintendo DSi Shop, create, share photos with friends and family and also customise the pictures according to your taste. Moreover, you can also have great time listening to and playing with your music and sounds.

Is Nintendo planning a Wii-make of the GameCube classic or a full-fledged sequel?

Nintendo has filed a new trademark for Luigi's Mansion, the classic ghostbusting title that launched with the GameCube back in 2001. For nine long years the game hasn't seen a sequel, and the Ghostbusters themselves had to make a new game to fill in the "ghostbusting vacuum." While the game's characters and items have reappeared in other Nintendo games (Professor E. Gadd has made cameos in the Mario & Luigi RPGs and Luigi even drove a Poltergust-4000 in Mario Kart DS), this is the first time since the original that Nintendo has actually filed a trademark for it.

This could mean a full-fledged sequel for the Wii, or a remake of the original in the New Play Control series, or even a DS or WiiWare game. Hopefully it's on the Wii so we can use the Wii remote as a flashlight/vacuum in a haunted house. But whatever happens with the franchise, it will be great to see the man in green back in the limelight.

Source: Gamerzines

All Nintendo Items

Welcome to the Nintendo Warehouse.
